Speaking during his retirement celebration, Alhaji Suleiman expressed profound gratitude to God, his family, and colleagues for their support throughout his career.

“I thank Almighty God for granting me the grace to witness this remarkable day. I also thank my family for standing by me, and my colleagues for being part of this memorable journey,” he said.

Reflecting on his decades-long service, the veteran broadcaster described his career as a divine calling. “Broadcasting has never been just a job to me, it’s a calling, an opportunity to make positive change and touch lives,” he stated.

Alhaji Suleiman urged the younger generation of broadcasters and civil servants to uphold the values of excellence, integrity, passion, and dedication in their work, as such attributes will draw attention to them in exploring their full potential.

He noted that his second appointment as Director-General of Protocol to the Kogi State Government was proof that diligence and loyalty are always rewarded.

Expressing appreciation to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Suleiman commended his efforts toward moving the state forward.

In his goodwill message, the Special Adviser on Media to the State Government, Hon. Ismaila Isah, praised the retiring DG for his unwavering commitment to service and mentorship.

“Alhaji Suleiman has been a true inspiration in my own journalism journey. He is a man of big heart and humility, and his legacy of dedication will remain a guiding light to many of us,” Isah said.

Also speaking, the Auditor-General for Local Governments, Hon. Siyaka Yakubu Adabenege, congratulated Alhaji Suleiman, describing him as a man who has served with sincerity and passion.

“He is retiring, not tired. His wisdom and support will continue to be valuable to the growth of our dear state,” Adabenege noted.

He further lauded the DG’s humility and alignment with the government’s development agenda, saying his contributions have helped strengthen governance and communication in Kogi State.
