NAF Airstrikes Destroy Terrorist Base in Sambisa

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the successful destruction of a major terrorist hideout in Arra, deep within the Sambisa Forest, following a series of coordinated airstrikes executed by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame.

According to him, the operation was carried out on the directive of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke.

Ejodame explained that the strike followed detailed intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance activities that monitored terrorist movements in the aftermath of the Oct.17 ambush at Kashomri.

He noted that sustained surveillance over Kashomri and the Sambisa axis revealed suspicious movements and active terrorist structures around Arra.

“NAF aircraft engaged the designated locations through coordinated and successive attack runs,” he said.

Ejodame confirmed that all identified targets were successfully hit, significantly degrading the terrorists’ operational capabilities and disrupting their command and logistics networks.

He added that the mission demonstrates NAF’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation and providing critical support to ground forces across various theatres of operation.

He assured that the Air Force remains resolute in its mandate to neutralise threats, secure Nigeria’s territorial integrity, and promote lasting peace nationwide
