The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has conducted the Passing Out Parade for Batch C Stream II corps members nationwide, with Kogi State holding its ceremony at the NYSC Secretariat in Lokoja.
The event marked the successful completion of the corps members’ one-year national service, celebrating their contributions to community development, nation-building, and the promotion of unity across the country.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Local Government Inspector, Ambassador Ezekiel Otohinoyi, described the outgoing corps members as intelligent, law-abiding, and exemplary in character.
He highlighted the Passing Out Parade as his happiest moment as an NYSC official, though mixed with emotions, as the corps members would be departing the state.
He commended their discipline, teamwork, and role in fostering national integration.
Also speaking, Zeenat Habeeb, a corps member who served at Lugard TV, expressed excitement as she reflected on her service year, describing it as a journey filled with growth and valuable lessons she intends to carry forward.
Other corps members described their experience in Kogi State as friendly and memorable, praising the state’s rich culture and hospitality.
The corps members expressed hope for better opportunities and pledged to apply the skills and values acquired during the programme to contribute meaningfully to society.
