The Federal Government says electricity generation has increased from 3,951 Megawatts to 4,300 Megawatts within two weeks.
The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, disclosed this, saying the the increase underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to delivering on its promises to Nigerians.
The Minister noted that the gradual rise in generation output between March 28th and April 10 aligns with the assurance earlier given at a power sector working group meeting.
Adelabu had pledged that electricity supply would improve within two weeks.
The Ministry explained that data from the period under review shows a steady upward trend in power generation output from about 3,951MW on March 28 to over 4,300MW by April 10.
Adelabu noted that the increase closely aligns with the steady increase in gas supply to thermal power plants, which rose from approximately 605 million standard cubic feet to over 704 within the same timeframe.
The Federal Government reiterated its commitment to sustaining the progress and improving electricity supply nationwide.
