Gov. Ododo Submits Report on Ekiti APC Governorship Primary

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has submitted the report of the Ekiti All Progressives Congress governorship primary to the party’s National Secretariat, describing the exercise as transparent and hitch-free.

The Governor, who chaired the Ekiti APC Governorship Primary Committee, presented the report during a brief ceremony at the National Secretariat.

Speaking at the event, Governor Ododo expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the confidence reposed in him and members of the committee.

He stated that all legal and procedural requirements were strictly followed in the conduct of the primary, to deliver a hitch free exercise.

Governor Ododo commended the party for adopting the consensus mode of primary, saying the system remains the most peaceful mode.

Receiving the report on behalf of the Party, the Deputy National Organising Secretary of the APC, Chidi Duru, praised Governor Ododo for successfully delivering on the assignment.

He described Governor Ododo as one of the party’s dependable leaders, noting that the APC would continue to rely on him for future national assignments.

Duru also said the consensus approach of primary is novel, particularly when it has to do with nominating a Governorship candidate of the party.
