Prof Adabara Set for FUTMINNA 126th Inaugural Lecture

Professor of Microbiology, Nasiru Usman Adabara is set to deliver the 126th Inaugural Lecture of the Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State.

This was disclosed in a public notice signed by the university’s Registrar, Danladi Mallam, and the Chairperson of the University Seminar and Colloquium Committee, Dr Mrs Victoria I. Chukwuemeka.

The event underscores both a personal milestone and the university’s enduring tradition of scholarly excellence.

Prof Adabara, a respected voice in microbiological research, will present a thought-provoking lecture with the title, “The Human Pathogen Push Me I Push You Conundrum: When Will This Mutually Antagonistic Struggle End?”

The lecture is expected to explore the intricate and often adversarial relationship between humans and disease-causing micro-organisms, offering insights into one of the most persistent challenges in global health.

The lecture, scheduled for May 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., will hold at the 1,000-seater auditorium, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano, and is expected to attract a wide audience of academics, students, researchers, and stakeholders eager to benefit from his expertise and insights.

Prof Adabara obtained his BSc and MSc from the University of Jos and a PhD from the Federal University of Technology Minna.

His academic career reflects years of rigorous scholarship, impactful research, and dedicated mentorship.
