FUL Opens 2026/2027 Admission Screening Portal, Sets Guidelines for Applicants

The Federal University Lokoja (FUL) has commenced its 2026/2027 admission screening exercise, inviting candidates who applied through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to participate in the institution’s online Post-UTME screening process.

According to a statement issued by the university, the screening portal opened on June 9, 2026, for both Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) candidates seeking admission into its undergraduate programmes.

The university stated that only candidates who selected FUL as their first-choice institution and scored a minimum of 160 in the 2026 UTME are eligible to participate in the screening exercise. Direct Entry applicants must also have applied through JAMB, while all candidates are required to be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026.

FUL explained that the admission screening exercise would be conducted entirely online through its Post-UTME portal. Applicants are expected to upload their O’Level results on the JAMB portal before commencing the screening process, as candidates without uploaded results will not be eligible for screening and subsequent admission consideration.

The university advised applicants to use valid personal email addresses and carefully complete their biodata and academic records on the screening portal. Candidates are also required to pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 through the Remita payment platform.

As part of the screening process, applicants will be required to select their preferred programme, provide relevant O’Level subject combinations, and upload examination details for verification.

The institution emphasized that only candidates who participate in the screening exercise and meet all admission requirements would be considered for admission. It further noted that applicants must possess at least five credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language, obtained in not more than two sittings. However, candidates applying for Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Law, and Pharmaceutical Science must obtain the required credits in a single sitting.

The university warned against the submission of false information or forged credentials, stating that any candidate found guilty of such acts would be disqualified and could face further sanctions.

FUL also reminded prospective students that successful participation in the screening exercise does not automatically guarantee admission, as final admission decisions will be subject to the institution’s approved admission procedures and requirements.

The university announced that the 2026/2027 admission screening exercise will close on September 13, 2026, urging interested candidates to complete their registration before the deadline.
