Arokodare Strikes Again in Ajax Big Away Victory

Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare continued his impressive start to life at Ajax after scoring in the Dutch giants’ convincing 4-0 victory over Telstar in an Eredivisie encounter on Sunday.

Arokodare was on target as Ajax produced a dominant performance to secure all three points away from home.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 37th minute through experienced midfielder Davy Klaassen, who found the back of the net following a corner delivery from Steven Berghuis.

Ajax took their 1-0 lead into the halftime break and returned with greater intensity in the second half.

Berghuis doubled Ajax’s advantage nine minutes after the restart, putting the visitors firmly in control of the encounter.

The Dutch midfielder then turned provider again in the 60th minute when he set up Arokodare, who made no mistake in finding the back of the net to give Ajax a comfortable 3-0 lead.

The Nigerian striker’s goal further highlighted his impressive form since joining Ajax, as he continues to make a strong impact for the Dutch club.

Brazilian forward Marcos Leonardo completed the scoring in the 78th minute, adding Ajax’s fourth goal to seal a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Telstar.

The goal took Arokodare’s tally to four goals in five appearances across all competitions since joining Ajax on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 25-year-old Nigerian forward has enjoyed a bright start to his Ajax career and will be hoping to maintain his impressive goalscoring form as the season progresses.

The victory also lifted Ajax to seventh position in the Eredivisie standings with seven points as they continue their push for a strong campaign.

Arokodare’s impressive performances will also come as good news for Nigerian football fans, with the Super Eagles striker continuing to prove his quality in one of Europe’s top leagues.

With four goals in just five appearances, Arokodare appears to be settling quickly at Ajax and could become an important player for the Dutch giants if he maintains his current form.
