Ex-Defence Intelligence Chief Commends Ododo Over Kogi Projects

Former Nigerian Military Adviser to Europe and former Chief of Defence Intelligence, Vice Admiral S.A. Ajayi (retd.), has commended Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, for the visible development projects executed by his administration in Kogi State.

Ajayi gave the commendation when Governor Ododo paid him a private visit at his Abuja residence as part of his consultations with elder statesmen on the development of the state.

The former Defence Intelligence chief particularly commended the governor for projects executed in Kabba, including the over N11bn erosion management and control project and 11 primary healthcare centres across the Kabba Local Government Areas.

He also highlighted projects at the Kogi State University, Kabba, including the construction of male and female hostels, Faculty of Science and internal roads, as well as several other ongoing projects.

Ajayi urged the governor to remain steadfast and focused on his administration’s development agenda and avoid distractions.

Responding, Governor Ododo thanked the former Defence Intelligence chief for his service to Nigeria, commitment to the development of Kogi State and his humanitarian services.

He pledged to continue consulting elder statesmen and seeking their guidance in the interest of the state.

The governor was joined on his entourage by the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara; Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello; Commissioner for Solid Minera, Engr. Bashir Gegu; Special Adviser on Energy Matters, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi; Senior Special Assistant on Drug Rehabilitation, Hon. Richard Otitoleke; and Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Mobilisation, Hon. Jagun Olakunle.
