The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will inaugurate the President Bola Tinubu/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said in a statement on Monday that the event will be held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He described the inauguration as a major step in the party’s preparations for the presidential election. The inauguration comes as the country prepares for the 2027 polls.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the general election.
It had earlier set February 20, 2027, for the presidential and National Assembly elections, and March 6, 2027, for the governorship and state assembly elections.
INEC said it realigned the schedule after the Electoral Act, 2022 was repealed and the Electoral Act, 2026 was enacted, which adjusted the statutory timelines for pre-election and election activities.
The presidential and National Assembly elections will now be held on January 16, 2027, while the governorship and state assembly elections will move to February 6, 2027.
