Niger Delta leader, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has called on Nigerians to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that the administration’s economic reforms are beginning to yield positive results.
Ekpemupolo made the appeal in a statement released in Abuja on Tuesday by the National Coordinator of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Door-to-Door Movement, Comrade Sunday Adekanbi Asuku.
According to him, the Tinubu administration has introduced far-reaching economic and structural reforms that are already producing measurable outcomes, including increased foreign investment, improved performance in the Nigerian capital market and enhanced fiscal autonomy for sub-national governments.
He said key economic indicators, including the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and other macroeconomic indices, suggest that the reforms are beginning to have a positive impact on the nation’s economy.
Ekpemupolo stressed that President Tinubu’s re-election would provide the continuity required to sustain and consolidate the ongoing reforms, urging Nigerians to unite in support of the administration.
He also announced that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Door-to-Door Movement will inaugurate its national executive members on July 9, 2026, at the Transcorp Event Centre in Abuja. The event, scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m., is expected to bring together political leaders, community representatives and other stakeholders from across the country.
Describing the movement as a nationwide grassroots platform, Ekpemupolo said its mission is to promote national development by engaging communities, explaining government policies, economic reforms and infrastructure projects at the ward and local government levels.
He added that the initiative will also educate eligible voters on voter registration and participation in the electoral process while encouraging greater civic engagement.
Founded and sponsored by Ekpemupolo, the movement relies on local volunteers and places particular emphasis on empowering women and youths as part of its nationwide community outreach efforts.
