Sixteen-year-old Nadia Zakaria has built and equipped an orphanage home in Etahi Community, Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Nadia, the daughter of Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, reportedly embarked on the project as part of her efforts to provide care and support for vulnerable children in the community.

The newly established home is designed to provide shelter and other basic necessities for children who are without adequate parental care.

The project has drawn attention to the role young people can play in addressing social challenges and supporting vulnerable members of society.

Nadia’s initiative also highlights the importance of philanthropy and community service, particularly in creating a safer and more supportive environment for children in need.

The orphanage home was recently inaugurated in Etahi Community, marking the completion of the project and its readiness to serve its intended beneficiaries.
