President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on his re-election, expressing optimism about stronger bilateral relations between Nigeria and Brazil.
In a statement issued on Monday, Tinubu described Lula as a friend and said his renewed mandate presents an opportunity to deepen the longstanding relationship between both countries, established in 1961.
The President identified trade, investment, agriculture, energy, manufacturing, science and technology, education, aviation and cultural exchange as key areas for expanded cooperation.
Tinubu also reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening multilateral cooperation with Brazil and advancing shared interests across Africa, South America and the Global South.
