The Kogi State Government and Egbe Community in Yagba West Local Government Area have reached an agreement on the relocation of the Radio Kogi Booster Station to pave the way for the construction of the Egbe Airstrip.

The airstrip, an initiative of Egbe Medical Mission Abroad and Egbe Medical Mission Nigeria, is expected to receive its first aircraft in February 2027.

The State Executive Council has approved the relocation, while government engineers will provide technical support for the process.

The relocation is expected to be carried out without prolonged disruption to information dissemination.

The Technical Adviser to the state government, Mr. Ebenezer Adurodija, describes the airstrip as a blessing to the community and commends both parties for resolving the matter peacefully.
