Ododo Backs Inclusive Economic Growth at BOI Launch

Inclusive economic growth took center stage in Kogi State on Monday as Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo commissioned the Lokoja office of the Bank of Industry (BOI), pledging sustained support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as a catalyst for broad-based development across the state.

The inauguration ceremony, held at the Investment House in Lokoja, underscores the state government’s commitment to inclusive economic development. Speaking at the event, Governor Ododo emphasized that the establishment of the BOI office would significantly enhance access to financial services particularly for youth and women while promoting entrepreneurship, job creation, and sustainable growth.

โ€œThe presence of the Bank of Industry in Lokoja is not just an investment; it is a bold statement that Kogi is ready, open for business, and on the rise,โ€ the Governor declared. โ€œThis office is more than a structure, it is a launchpad for the aspirations of our entrepreneurs and a strong push toward our vision of a prosperous Kogi State.โ€

Governor Ododo hailed the development as a strategic move that reflects Kogiโ€™s growing economic potential and reaffirmed his administrationโ€™s commitment to empowering local businesses. He also extended heartfelt appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for extending BOIโ€™s reach to previously underserved areas, including Kogi State.

โ€œThis is a historic moment, one that will transform lives, ignite dreams, and empower businesses across our communities,โ€ he said.

In his remarks, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of Industry, Dr. Olasupo Olusi, reaffirmed the bankโ€™s dedication to driving economic growth in the state in alignment with President Tinubuโ€™s Renewed Hope Agenda.
