Tottenham Hotspur Sack Thomas Frank

Thomas Frank has been sacked as Tottenham Hotspur manager, following a disappointing run of results that has left the club battling near the relegation zone.

The Danish tactician was relieved of his duties on Wednesday morning after Spurs suffered their 11th defeat of the season, a home loss to Newcastle United on Tuesday night that deepened the club’s struggles.

Frank endured a difficult eight-month spell in charge, marked by inconsistent performances, a string of injuries and growing tension between supporters and the squad.

Club Chief Executive Vinai Venkatesham and Sporting Director Johan Lange reportedly informed Frank of the decision, with an official statement expected later in the day.

Tottenham are understood to be considering the appointment of an interim manager until the end of the season, though no name has yet been confirmed.

The dismissal marks the first managerial change since the departure of long-serving chairman Daniel Levy, who stepped down in September after control of the club’s holding company, ENIC, shifted to the Lewis family.

Operational leadership of the club was subsequently handed to Venkatesham and Lange.
