Kogi Accountant-General Conferred with Traditional Title in Ankpa

The Accountant-General of Kogi State, Chief Dr. Habibat Onumoko, has been conferred with the traditional title Iye Ebule Ankpa – which translates as Mother of All Women-by the Ejeh of Ankpa, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Ahmed in Ankpa local government area.

The coronation ceremony, which took place in Ankpa attracted traditional rulers, government officials, women groups, and community leaders from across the state.

The title, regarded as one of the most revered traditional honours in the kingdom is bestowed on women considered to have made significant contributions to leadership, service, and community development.

The conferment of the title on Chief Dr. Habibat is in recognition of her professional accomplishments, commitment to public service, and support for social development initiatives, particularly in women and youths empowerment.

The Ejeh of Ankpa, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Ahmed described the Accountant General as a leader whose career in public finance and governance reflects discipline, integrity, and dedication to service.

As part of her new role, Chief Dr. Habibat is expected to serve as a bridge between women groups, traditional institutions, and development efforts within the community.
