ODODO’S MEDIA ADVISER EXTENDS RAMADAN IFTAR BEYOND OGAMINANA CENTRAL WARD

The Special Adviser on Media to the Kogi State Governor, Ismaila Isah has again extended the annual Ramadan community Iftar beyond Ogaminana Central Ward as the outreach has once again reached mosques in Idanuhua and Uhucheba wards.

Those who monitored the breaking of fast at Inorere confirm that the community Iftar started since the commencement of fasting and it is expected to continue till the end of Ramadan.

They also observed that the community breaking of fast has been extended to Idanuhua and Uhucheba wards in continuation of a gesture many have hailed as consistent with the policy of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to reach out to people in communities as a way of taking governance closer to people at the grassroots.

In a goodwill message, the Imam of Uhucheba mosque, Mallam AbdulAzeez commended the special adviser on media for the kind gesture and also praised Governor Ododo for his vision in appointing Isah as the special adviser on media.
According to him:
“ We are grateful to Hon Ismaila Isah for his kindness and generosity in providing iftar food for our community. His consistent efforts in supporting us are truly commendable. We appreciate the Governor’s vision in appointing him as Special Adviser on Media. May Allah bless him and his family.”

Alhaji Muhammed Awwal from Idanuhua community also described Hon Ismaila Isah’s gesture as a reflection of his commitment to serving the people. He thanked him for remembering the community during this holy month of Ramadan.
He said Isah’s selflessness is a shining example for others to follow.

Mallam Abdulrahaman Badams from Inorere in Ogaminana Central Ward said they are blessed to have leaders like Hon Ismaila Isah who care about people’s well-being.

He said the provision of iftar food is a great relief to the community. He thank the Governor for his thoughtfulness in the appointment and pray that God rewards Hon Ismaila Isah for his kindness.

Reacting to the goodwill messages from members of the communities, Isah noted that he was born into a family that has a culture of giving generously despite not being affluent, stressing that his kindness to members of the community has nothing to do with any personal ambition other than to support Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo who has given him a platform to reach out to more people than he would have been able to do as a member of the community.

He also extend warm greetings to community leaders, mosque committees, women who took charge of the feeding, the youth and other stakeholders for supporting the community breakfast initiative.

He urged them to continue to support the administration of Governor Ododo and his reelection to enhance his chances of doing more for the people of the state beyond 2027.

“Last Ramadan we did what no political office holder has done around this place before now and we wanted to step it up a little this year but with less publicity because we are conscious of the feedback the likelihood of dissonance in messaging from some quarters. Let me state categorically that if I have the means I will feed everyone in my community because this people made me who I am and my late mother was known for feeding others around here since I was a little boy in the 1980s and we are happy to sustain the legacy. I want to express my profound appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the opportunity he has given me to extend kindness to our people especially in this month of Ramadan and I promise that if we get more opportunities to do more for our people we won’t relent in reaching out to our people because every position is given in trust by God to be held on behalf of the people.
