Mohamed Salah Announces Liverpool Exit, Brings Nine-Year Era to a Close

Mohamed Salah has confirmed he will part ways with Liverpool FC at the end of the 2025/26 season, drawing the curtain on an illustrious nine-year spell that has cemented his legacy as one of the club’s modern greats.

The announcement, made ahead of the season’s conclusion, is aimed at providing clarity to supporters and allowing ample time for a proper farewell.

The Egyptian forward revealed his decision through a heartfelt video message shared across his social media platforms, describing the moment as both inevitable and deeply emotional.

He reflected on his journey at the club, admitting he never anticipated the profound connection he would develop with the team, the city, and its passionate fanbase.

During his time at Anfield, Salah played a central role in one of the most successful periods in the club’s recent history, contributing to major trophy wins and unforgettable moments.

He acknowledged both the triumphs and the challenges, emphasizing the unity that defined the squad through highs and lows.

Expressing gratitude, Salah paid tribute to his teammates past and present as well as the club’s management and staff.

However, he reserved special appreciation for the supporters, whose unwavering loyalty and energy, he said, made his time at Liverpool the most memorable chapter of his career.

Despite his impending departure, Salah assured fans that his bond with the club remains unbroken.

He described Liverpool FC as a lifelong home for him and his family, closing his message with a note of enduring allegiance and appreciation for the love he received throughout his stay.
