Kogi State contingents to the 3rd National Para Games holding at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, say they are determined to win medals at the competition.

The Athletes, participating in the games for the first time, displayed high morale and described their inclusion as a significant milestone.

Speaking on behalf of the contingents, the captain of team Kogi, Sunday Miracle said they were optimistic about recording a successful outing at the Sport fiesta.

He commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday Anyebe for their support and belief in the team.

Earlier, the Director Kogi State Sports Council, Mr. James Abel charged the Athletes to justify the opportunity given to them by winning medals for the State.

He stressed that to whom much is given, much is expected and as such, they should make Kogi proud.

In his remark, Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday Anyebe represented by the Director Sports Development in the ministry, Mr. Aje Paul noted that the state governor was solidly behind them as such they should go all out to conquer in the games.

Anyebe said Governor Ododo’s commitment to inclusive development informed the state’s participation in the para games.
