Gov. Ododo Redeploys Deedat to Works, Names Ex-APC Chairman Commissioner-Designate

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has approved the redeployment of Barrister Ozigi Salami Deedat from the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to the Ministry of Works, following the resignation of Engr. Mohammed Ahovi Yusuf as Commissioner for Works.

In a related development, the Governor also appointed the immediate past State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Bello, as Commissioner Designate.

According to a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Folashade Ayoade Arike, the nominee is expected to undergo screening and confirmation by the Kogi State House of Assembly.

Governor Ododo expressed appreciation to the outgoing Commissioner for works, Engr. Yusuf for his meritorious service to the state, wishing him success in his future endeavours.

According to the statement, the appointment and redeployment are with immediate effect.
