‎Ododo Hails Osungbohun as Kogi NYSC Coordinator Retires After 35 Years

‎Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has commended the outgoing State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Mr. Femi Osungbohun, for his dedication and impactful service as he bows out after 35 years in public service.

‎The governor’s tribute was contained in a remark by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday Anyebe at a pull-out ceremony held in honour of the veteran administrator at the NYSC Secretariat in Lokoja.

‎Ododo described Osungbohun as a man of remarkable warmth and energy, whose cheerful disposition positively influenced the NYSC community.

‎He noted that the retiring coordinator’s leadership style fostered unity and commitment among corps members and staff.

‎Other speakers at the ceremony emphasized the importance of leaving the service with a sense of fulfilment, noting that Osungbohun’s exit reflects a career marked by purpose and resilience.

‎They also acknowledged the vital role played by Osungbohun’s wife and praising her unwavering support throughout his years of service.

‎They offered prayers for his continued well-being, with many expressing admiration for his enduring contributions and positive legacy.

‎In his response, Osungbohun expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the nation through the NYSC for over three decades.

‎He expressed confidence in the officers he left behind, assuring that his successor is capable of sustaining the standards of the NYSC and advancing its mission.

‎The event brought together officials of the Kogi state government, staff of the NYSC, corps members, and well-wishers to celebrate Osungbohun’s distinguished career.
