Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has condoled with the family of the late Alhaji Ahmad Rufai Obeito, a revered politician and former Secretary to the late Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, who died after a brief illness last week.
Speaking at the 8th day Fidau prayer and condolence visit to the Karaworo home of the deceased in Adavi Local Government Area, Governor Ododo described the late Obeito as an upright and exemplary leader
The Governor commended his lifetime of selfless service to his community and the Ebira nation at large.
He noted that the deceased lived a fulfilled life marked by dedication, integrity, and commitment to the welfare of others.
Governor Ododo prayed for Allah’s forgiveness for the departed soul and urged the family to find solace in the enduring legacy of the departed politician.
The Fidau prayer, led by Sheikh Muhammed Awwal on behalf of the Chief Imam of Ebiraland, attracted a large gathering of sympathisers, including community leaders, political associates, and well-wishers.
Speaking on behalf of the family, President of the Kogi State Customary Court of Appeal. Justice Siyaka Usman expressed appreciation to the Governor Ododo for standing with the family in their moment of grief, describing his presence as a source of comfort and encouragement for the family.
The late Ahmad Rufai Obeito who had been a part political campaigns since Nigeria’s second republic died last week at the age of 125 years.
