Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has advocated sustainable dialogue with stakeholders as a strategy to build inclusion, foster collective interest and promote a united political front across the state.
The Governor made this known while receiving stakeholders from Kogi West as part of ongoing consultations involving aspirants and key political actors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in the state.
According to him, the engagement was designed to provide a platform for constructive interaction, exchange of ideas, and consensus-building among leaders and aspirants.

Governor Ododo expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as exemplary leadership at the national level, particularly for allowing democratic principles to thrive without undue interference.
The Governor explained that his administration is committed to guiding the political process in a manner that prevents crises, reduces tension, and ensures that all political activities are conducted in a peaceful and rancour-free atmosphere.
He commended aspirants in Kogi West for conducting themselves responsibly, noting that their refusal to treat the process as a “do-or-die affair” has set a commendable standard for political engagement.
He described the development as a reflection of the maturity within the All Progressives Congress, adding that the party continues to serve as a model for others.
Speaking on behalf of the aspirants, the member representing Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Salman Idris, commended the Governor for his inclusive leadership style and commitment to fairness in the consultation process.
