Governor Ododo Urges Harmony and Compassion at Yuletide

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has urged citizens to embrace love, peace, and compassion as the state joins the rest of the world in celebrating Christmas. The governor’s call was made in a press statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Ismaila Isah, on Wednesday.

Describing Christmas as a season of joy and unity, Governor Ododo emphasized the importance of reflecting on the teachings of Jesus Christ, which promote selflessness, hope, and kindness. He encouraged the people of Kogi State to use the festive period as an opportunity to strengthen bonds within their families and communities.

“This festive season is a time to celebrate love, unity, and to reflect on the eternal values of peace, hope, and selfless service that define the life and teachings of Jesus Christ,” the statement read. The governor further urged residents to extend acts of kindness to the less privileged and to embrace compassion and tolerance in their daily lives.

Governor Ododo commended the people of Kogi for their peaceful coexistence and resilience, which have continued to foster harmony in the state. He expressed confidence that the spirit of togetherness and generosity demonstrated during Christmas would inspire his administration to intensify efforts toward the collective development of the state.
