Governor Ododo Signs 2025 Budget into Law

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has signed the 2025 budget estimates of ₦582.4 billion into law, marking a pivotal step in the state’s financial and developmental agenda for the coming year. The signing ceremony was held on Monday at the Government House Conference Hall, Lokoja.

Governor Ododo commended the Kogi State House of Assembly for its swift and diligent review and approval of the budget. He described the cooperation between the executive and legislative arms of government as a testament to their shared commitment to advancing the state’s development goals for the benefit of all citizens.

Speaking at the event, the governor urged the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Honourable Aliyu Umar, to sustain the high standards of legislative work. He reiterated his administration’s readiness to maintain a collaborative relationship with the Assembly to ensure the successful execution of the state’s developmental priorities.

In his remarks, Speaker Aliyu Umar lauded the Assembly members for their thorough review of the budget estimates. He noted that the lawmakers ensured all provisions were carefully scrutinized to align with the inclusive development agenda of the state.
