Ododo’s Leadership Marks a Turning Point for Kogi

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has been lauded for his proactive approach to governance, steering Kogi State on a path of inclusiveness and innovation. Special Adviser on Media, Ismaila Isah, highlighted the Governor’s commitment to unity, development, and transformative policies during a live interview on KAFTANTV’s The Polity.

Isah emphasized that Governor Ododo’s extensive experience under the previous administration equipped him to address challenges with unparalleled preparedness. He noted that the Governor has prioritized uniting the state post-election and has already implemented several initiatives that distinguish his administration as forward-thinking.

Isah pointed to the administration’s bold strides in agriculture, tourism, and the extractive industries. He shared that the government is tapping into Kogi’s vast mineral resources to promote local production and job creation rather than relying solely on exports. Ongoing engagements with investors and federal stakeholders underscore Ododo’s commitment to economic diversification.

The administration’s focus on tourism has also taken center stage, with the successful hosting of the Kogi International Carnival and plans to modernize cultural festivals across the state. According to Isah, Governor Ododo is creating an integrated system that links all sectors for sustainable development, ensuring that no sector operates in isolation.

Looking ahead to the Governor’s one-year anniversary, Isah revealed that the event will prioritize gathering feedback from citizens to refine governance further. “This administration is driven by the people’s needs, and we remain focused on creating opportunities and fostering progress across all sectors,” he concluded.
