Niger State Governor, Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago, has paid a condolence visit to Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo following the demise of his father, Mallam Ahmed Momohsani.
Governor Bago, who led a delegation of top government officials to Okene, described the late Alhaji Momohsani as a revered elder statesman, devout Muslim and respected community leader whose life was defined by integrity, purpose and service to humanity.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the deceased and asked Allah to grant Governor Ododo and his family the strength to bear the loss.
Similarly, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Defence, Amb. Gabriel Aduda, encouraged the Ododo family to take solace in the remarkable legacy of their patriarch.
He noted that the values and leadership of the late Alhaji Momohsani would remain evergreen in the hearts of those who encountered him.
Responding, Governor Ododo expressed gratitude to Governor Bago and Ambassador Aduda for their show of solidarity, which he described as a source of strength and comfort to his family during the difficult time.
Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani passed away on Monday and has been laid to rest in Okene in accordance with Islamic rites.
