Gunmen Storm Kogi Church, Abduct Pastor, Wife, Worshippers During Service

Bandits have reportedly attacked the newly established Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Ejiba, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The incident was said to have taken place during Sunday service, causing panic among worshippers.

The community was thrown into chaos on Sunday morning when armed bandits stormed the church during service.

According to eyewitnesses, the sound of gunfire sent worshippers fleeing in all directions. The attackers abducted the church’s pastor, popularly known as Orlando, along with his wife and several other members of the congregation.

Residents described the incident as terrifying, noting that the bandits invaded the community without warning, leaving many in shock and fear.

The exact number of abductees remains unconfirmed, and as of the time of filing this report, neither the state government nor the police has released an official statement regarding the attack.
