…Secures Federal Backing for Development Drive
Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has expressed deep appreciation to President Tinubu for his consistent and unwavering support, particularly in enhancing security operations in Kogi State.
Governor Ododo who on Monday paid a strategic working visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House in Abuja said the visit was aimed at strengthening security collaboration and accelerating key development initiatives across the state.
During the meeting, Governor Ododo briefed the President extensively on the current security landscape and outlined the proactive measures being implemented by the state government in partnership with federal security agencies to safeguard lives and property.
He noted that federal backing has significantly boosted the capacity of security agencies to respond promptly and effectively to emerging threats.
The Governor also conveyed the profound gratitude of the government and people of Kogi State for the President’s landmark approval of the Ajaokuta Economic City Project, also known as the Kogi–Hunan Free Trade Zone.
He described the initiative as historic and transformative, emphasizing its potential to reposition Kogi as a major industrial and investment hub, create substantial employment opportunities, and stimulate sustainable economic growth.
In his remarks, President Tinubu commended Governor Ododo for his effective leadership and strong cooperation with security agencies in addressing security challenge.
He assured the Governor of the Federal Government’s continued support for both security efforts and developmental initiatives in the state.
The high-level engagement which also had 5 other governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in attendance featured fruitful discussions on advancing infrastructure development, expanding economic opportunities, and improving the well-being of the people of Kogi State and other parts of Nigeria.
