Confluence Xplorers Unveil 2025 Homecoming Festival, Launches Community Cleanup in Ebira Land

Confluence Xplorers, a non-governmental organization committed to promoting tourism and sustainable development, has announced its Homecoming Festival for 2025, scheduled to hold in Okene, with activities aimed at promoting community development, environmental sustainability and culture among the people.

As part of the festival, the group will organise a Community Cleanup Carnival, slated for Saturday, December 27, at Total by UBA in Okene.

Speaking on the initiative, the organisers say the cleanup exercise is expected to bring together residents, volunteers and others to clean public spaces, promote environmental hygiene and encourage collective responsibility within the community.

According to the organizers, this homecoming is about giving back to the land that raised us, and the cleanup is a simple but powerful way to remind ourselves that protecting our environment starts with us.”

The festival will continue on December 29 with the Home2Hike – Ebira Edition and Apapa Groove, scheduled to take place at Ekuku Dam, Agassa in Okene local government area.

Organisers say the hike will combine outdoor recreation with cultural interaction, offering participants an opportunity to reconnect with their roots and strengthen community ties.
