The Wife of the Kogi State Governor, Sefinat Usman Ododo, has called on citizens to embrace unity and shared sacrifice as Muslims celebrate this year’s Eid al-Fitr.

She stressed the need for communities to remain bound by love and mutual understanding in order to sustain peace and development.

In her Sallah message, the First Lady highlighted the importance of peaceful coexistence, noting that no society can achieve meaningful progress without compassion and collective responsibility.

She urged residents to strengthen relationships within their communities and work together for the common good.

Reflecting on the just-concluded Ramadan fast, Mrs. Ododo said the holy month serves as a reminder of the values of sacrifice, kindness, and care for the less privileged.

She encouraged citizens to carry these virtues forward beyond the festive period in order to build a more inclusive and supportive society.

She also advised residents to celebrate in moderation, extend a helping hand to those in need, and foster stronger communal ties. Parents, she added, must remain vigilant in guiding their children away from negative influences and instilling positive values.

Reaffirming her dedication to the welfare of women, children, and vulnerable groups, the First Lady expressed optimism about a more united Kogi State.

She wished the Muslim Ummah a fulfilling celebration, urging all to let the lessons of Ramadan shape their actions toward building a compassionate and progressive society.
