Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has called on residents to embrace unity and deepen their faith as Muslim faithful mark this year’s Eid al-Fitr. In a goodwill message, the governor emphasized the importance of sustaining the spiritual lessons learned during Ramadan beyond the festive period.

He described the celebration as a significant moment for reflection, urging citizens to uphold the values of sacrifice, humility, and compassion that define the holy month. According to him, these virtues remain essential in fostering harmony and collective progress across the state.

Governor Ododo also reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to improve the welfare of the people, strengthen security, and deliver on key development priorities. He appreciated the continued support of Kogi residents, noting that their trust serves as motivation for his government to remain focused and responsive.

Extending his message beyond the state, the governor urged Nigerians to offer prayers for national peace, unity, and stability. He also encouraged sustained support for the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as it implements reforms aimed at repositioning the country.

The governor further advised residents to use the Eid celebration as an opportunity to promote love, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence, regardless of religious or political differences. He wished Muslims in Kogi State and across Nigeria a joyful and peaceful celebration.
