The Ebira’Vonya Women Association, also known as Fancy Women in Politics, has intensified grassroots mobilisation for the All Progressive Congress (APC), reaffirming its readiness to work towards sweeping victory for the party in future elections across Kogi State.
The Coordinator of the Association, Hon. Adinoyi Rukkayat Ajoge, said the group has grown into one of the leading grassroot political structures in Kogi central and the state, with about 100 branches actively mobilising support for the APC.
According to her, the association, in collaboration with other support groups, is committed to strengthening the party’s grassroot presence and mobilising support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, former Governor Yahaya Bello and other APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
She said the activities of the association is in line with the vision of the its Captain, the Auditor-General for Local Government, Hon. Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege (Fancy), whom she described as a committed party leader and grassroots mobiliser whose influence cuts across youths, women and various demographics in Kogi State.
Ajoge said members had been directed to deepen grassroots engagement by promoting the achievements of Governor Ododo’s administration while canvassing support for the APC through issue-based campaigns.
She disclosed that based on the usual custom, the gathering featured the distribution of cash empowerment and relief materials donated by Hon. Adabenege as part of efforts to encourage and support their continued participation in grassroots mobilisation.
The coordinator noted that the association remains focused, stressing that its mission goes beyond winning elections, expressing confidence that its growing membership would further strengthen the APC’s political dominance across Kogi State.
Participants at the event described the large turnout as a reflection of the growing influence of the association within the state’s political landscape and its increasing role in grassroots mobilisation across the state.
