Ododo Tasks Gamji, Nigeria’s Ambassador-Designate to Kuwait on Good Representation

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has urged Nigeria’s Ambassador-designate to the State of Kuwait, Sanusi Gamji, to leverage his appointment to strengthen bilateral relations between Nigeria and Kuwait, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, technology transfer and economic cooperation.

The Governor who was represented at the event by his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu made the call over the weekend at a grand reception held in Abuja in honour of Gamji following his appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Kuwait.

Governor Ododo described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Gamji’s competence, patriotism and commitment to humanity, noting that it reflects the quality of leadership Kogi State continues to contribute to national development.

According to him, the ambassador-designate has distinguished himself through his contributions to human capital development and investments in Kogi State, while his philanthropic activities have positively impacted lives across ethnic, religious and political divides.

The Governor expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for entrusting Kogites with key national responsibilities, saying the appointment of Gamji demonstrates the President’s confidence in the capacity of the sons and daughters of the state to serve the nation.

He expressed confidence that the ambassador-designate would justify the confidence reposed in him through exemplary service and diplomacy, while projecting Nigeria’s interests and strengthening the country’s relationship with Kuwait.

Governor Ododo reiterated the commitment of his administration to opening Kogi State to local and international investors, stressing that the state is endowed with abundant mineral resources and enormous economic opportunities that remain attractive for investment.

He said stronger diplomatic and economic ties between Nigeria and Kuwait would create opportunities for increase in trade, investment, technology transfer and other mutually beneficial partnerships.

Speaking on the significance of the gathering, the Governor said he was encouraged by the large turnout of Kogites from different ethnic, religious and political backgrounds, describing it as a demonstration of unity and solidarity.

According to him, the unity displayed at the event reflects the kind of inclusive Kogi State his administration is working to build, adding that the state’s diversity remains its greatest strength and should be harnessed to promote peace, development and shared prosperity.
