PYU Secretary Visits OJN Foundation, Pledges Partnership

The Secretary General of the Pan-African Youth Union (PYU), Ahmed Beining W, on Wednesday paid a strategic visit to the OJN Foundation Secretariat, where he held extensive discussions with the Foundation’s leadership on strengthening youth development initiatives and institutional collaboration across Africa.

The visit, which came shortly before his departure from Lokoja, brought together members of the OJN Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Directors, Management, and Staff for a high-level engagement focused on sustainable partnerships, institutional development, and expanding opportunities for young people.

Speaking during the visit, the Secretary General’s pledged to facilitate the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Pan-African Youth Union and the OJN Foundation.

The proposed partnership is expected to foster closer collaboration between both organisations in promoting youth empowerment, leadership development, capacity building, and humanitarian initiatives across Kogi State, Nigeria, and the African continent.

Beining also shared valuable insights on positioning the OJN Foundation to attract international grants, strengthen its governance and operational structures, and align with global best practices required for sustainable nonprofit organisations.

He emphasised the importance of institutional capacity, strategic partnerships, accountability, and innovation in building a resilient youth-focused organisation.

Responding, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the OJN Foundation, Oladele John Nihi, described the visit as timely, impactful, and a significant milestone in the Foundation’s journey toward becoming a leading youth development institution in Africa.

He appreciated the PYU Secretary for his encouragement, strategic guidance, and commitment to supporting the Foundation’s vision through continental collaboration.

Nihi said the proposed partnership with the Pan-African Youth Union would further strengthen the Foundation’s programmes, broaden its reach, and create more opportunities for young people while advancing the shared vision of a prosperous, inclusive, and youth-driven Africa.

The visit ended with a renewed commitment by both organisations to deepen cooperation, build stronger institutions, and implement initiatives that will positively impact young people and communities across the continent.
