Presidential MediaTeam Commends Development Projects in Kogi

Member of the Presidential Media Team and Renewed Hope Ambassadors have commended development strides by the Kogi state government under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Leader of the Presidential Media Team and the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Chief Sunday Dare made the commendation during the inspection of federal and state projects across the senatorial districts in Kogi state.

Dare said the projects inspected across Kogi State demonstrate that the Renewed Hope Agenda is translating into tangible improvements in the lives of Nigerians.

He commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for complementing the Federal Government’s efforts through strategic investments in education, healthcare, road infrastructure, security and human capital development.

The President’s Media Adviser described the state’s development trajectory as being in strong alignment with President Tinubu’s Eight-Point Renewed Hope Agenda.

Highlighting the significance of infrastructure to economic growth, Dare said the reconstruction of the Kabba–Ilorin Road, abandoned for more than three decades before the Tinubu administration, reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to restoring strategic transport corridors to improve connectivity, facilitate trade and support industrial expansion.

He also noted that the administration has revitalised over 1,000 Primary Health Centres nationwide while making substantial investments in roads, education, agriculture, manufacturing and the oil and gas sector, stressing that the projects inspected in Kogi further demonstrate the practical implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda across the country.

The delegation inspected several landmark projects, including the 15-kilometre asphalted internal road network with drainage and a newly constructed Primary Health Centre in Gbede, the ongoing reconstruction of the Kabba–Egbe–Omuaran–Ilorin Federal Road, rural road projects in Okene, the International Market in Lokoja being developed on a 16-hectare land mass, and the Federal Teaching Hospital in Lokoja.

Meanwhile, officials of the Kogi State Government and key political stakeholders in the state have assured President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) of overwhelming support in the 2027 general elections, citing the administration’s economic reforms and infrastructure development as reasons for the growing confidence of the people in the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The assurance was given on as the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and the Presidential Media Team concluded a three-day
inspection tour of Federal and Kogi State Government projects across the state.

Speaking during the inspection of projects in Gbede, Yagba West Local Government Area, the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, said the people of the state have witnessed the positive impact of President Tinubu’s policies and ongoing Federal Government projects, adding that they would reciprocate by supporting the President and the APC at all levels in the 2027 elections.

According to Fanwo, President Tinubu’s reform programmes have expanded fiscal capacity for sub-national governments, enabling states, including Kogi, to undertake unprecedented infrastructure and social development projects.
