Kogi State Civil Servants have launched a digital notice board to improve information dissemination and make communication across ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) faster and more effective.
The launch, held at the State Secretariat, Lokoja, was part of activities marking the 2026 Kogi State Civil Service Week, themed, “Digital Transformation, a Panacea for Better Civil Service Delivery.”
Speaking after the launch, the Head of Service, Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa, described the initiative as part of the state’s ongoing efforts to transform the civil service through digital innovation.
Falilat said the digital notice board would enable civil servants to easily access official information, including announcements, programmes and other developments concerning the workforce.
She explained that the platform would replace the traditional method of circulating information through files, as workers would only need to check the digital notice board for relevant updates.
According to her, the initiative would also improve record keeping and reduce the movement of files and documents from one office to another.
Falilat disclosed that desk officers would be appointed in various MDAs to provide information about their respective institutions for uploading on the platform.
She said the system would also support the timely dissemination of information during exercises such as recruitment, ensuring that relevant updates reach civil servants more quickly.
Falilat commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for supporting reforms and encouraging initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency of the civil service, adding that his administration had prioritised workers’ welfare and innovation.
She said the prompt payment of salaries and introduction of digital initiatives were among measures aimed at strengthening the service, urging civil servants to give their full support to Governor Ododo.
Also speaking, the Head of Governance Delivery Unit, Dr. Olusiji Aina, described the digital notice board as a significant intervention in the state civil service.
Aina commended the Head of Service for her leadership and Governor Ododo for creating an enabling environment for digital innovation in the state.
He said the civil service would continue to leverage the digital notice board and other initiatives to improve efficiency and service delivery in Kogi State.
