Ododo’s Media Adviser Named Media and Publicity Committee Chair of Yahaya Bello Senatorial Campaign

The Special Adviser on Media to Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, Ismaila Isah, has been appointed Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee of the Yahaya Bello Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections, putting him at the forefront of media coordination and strategic communication commitments for the APC Senatorial Candidate in Kogi Central.

The appointment, which recognises his experience in political communication, media relations and public information management, comes as Bello prepares for the 2027 senatorial contest on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Reacting to the appointment, Isah expressed appreciation to the former Governor for the confidence reposed in him, describing the responsibility as an opportunity to contribute to the success of the campaign and the victory of the former Governor in the January 2027 senatorial election.

He pledged to bring his experience and professional commitment to bear on the assignment, while ensuring effective communication of the candidate’s vision, programmes and political engagements with the electorate.

Isah also acknowledged the responsibility that comes with the appointment, expressing readiness to work with members committee and the campaign council and other stakeholders to achieve its objectives.

The media adviser currently serves in the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, where he oversees media relations and strategic communication, projecting the policies, programmes and of the administration.

His appointment adds to his growing responsibilities in political communication, positioning him to play a strategic role in shaping the media narrative and public engagement surrounding Yahaya Bello’s 2027 senatorial ambition.

The latest appointment comes on the heels of his earlier appointment as the Deputy Coordinating Director, Media and Strategic Communication of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in Kogi State, further positioning him for a prominent role in the party’s media and communication activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
