Kogi SSAs Elect New Executives to Strengthen Grassroots Governance

The Forum of Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) to the Governor of Kogi State has made a strategic move toward unity and coordination as Kogi SSAs elect new executives during their inaugural congress held at the Government House in Lokoja.

The election, which brought together aides from across the state, marks a fresh start for the Forum under the leadership of newly elected Chairman, Joseph Omeiza.

Omeiza, who currently serves as SSA on Commerce, was chosen to lead the new executive team following the dissolution of the former structure. He pledged to promote collaboration, transparency, and service delivery in line with Governor Ododo’s development agenda.

“This is a mandate I accept with humility and a deep sense of responsibility. Our Forum must become a symbol of unity and purpose, working in alignment with the governor’s vision,” Omeiza said in his acceptance speech.

Other appointees, including SSA on Youth and Students Matters, Isah Emmanuel, emphasized that leadership within the Forum must be guided by shared values, not individual ego.

He noted that Kogi SSAs electing new executives represents an opportunity to build stronger structures that benefit citizens at the grassroots level.
