Manchester City defeated Manchester United 3-0 in the 197th Manchester derby, with Erling Haaland scoring twice and Phil Foden adding another at the Etihad Stadium.
Foden opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a header from Jeremy Doku’s cross, before Haaland doubled the lead early in the second half. The Norwegian sealed the win with a cool finish after racing onto Bernardo Silva’s pass.
City dominated from the start, with Haaland going close inside the first minute and Doku hitting the post after a brilliant solo run. United rarely threatened, though Bryan Mbuemo forced a fine save from debutant goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The victory continued Haaland’s stunning form, taking his Premier League tally to five goals in five matches and marking his 50th goal in 50 home appearances — a milestone only Alan Shearer reached faster.
With 11 goal involvements in Manchester derbies, Haaland is now second only to Ryan Giggs, while City’s win reinforced their dominance over United under Pep Guardiola.
