The Accountant General of Kogi State, Dr. Habibat Tijjani Onumoko, has reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to grassroots development, assuring residents of Adavi Local Government Area that ongoing collaboration with local authorities will enhance inclusive governance and dividends for people at the grassroots level.
Dr. Onumoko gave the assurance during a courtesy visit to the people of Adavi local government at Inorere Ogamina Central ward on Sunday.
She urged women and youth to remain steadfast in their support for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, expressing confidence in the governor’s vision to transform the state’s economy and uplift rural communities.
“Gone are the days when the grassroots was neglected, Governor Ododo’s administration is intentional about empowering the common man and delivering dividends of democracy to every community,” she said.
The State Accountant General who has earlier visited Kuroko Community emphasized the importance of participation in the ongoing voter registration, particularly among women and young people, urging them to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards as a crucial step toward active political engagement and electing leaders who genuinely represent their interests.
The Commissioner for Works, Engr. Muhammed Yusuf, praised the State Accountant General for her commitment to the development goals of the Ododo-led administration describing her visit as a reflection of the inclusive governance style championed by Governor Ododo.
The Chairman of Adavi Local Government, Hon. Bashir Okatengwu applauded Accountant General for carrying Governor Ododo’s message of grassroots developmental to the local government area and expressing optimism that the electorate would continue to show their support for the administration in future elections.
