Okene Hosts Grand Reception for Governor Ododo and Ex-Governor Bello

Leaders and stakeholders from Kogi Central Senatorial District came together to host a grand reception in Okene for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and his predecessor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, celebrating their contributions to the state’s progress. The New Year gathering was marked by a large turnout of supporters and dignitaries.

Governor Ododo and former Governor Bello began their visit with a courtesy call on the Ohinoyi of Ebira land, His Royal Majesty Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje. During the meeting, Governor Ododo reaffirmed his commitment to good governance, outlining his administration’s priorities, including improved infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, and security. He also emphasized youth and women empowerment as a cornerstone of his policies.

In his remarks, former Governor Yahaya Bello expressed gratitude for the warm reception, acknowledging the unity and resilience of the people. Bello commended Governor Ododo for sustaining the development trajectory initiated during his administration and urged the people to continue supporting the current administration for greater success.

The Ohinoyi of Ebira land praised Governor Ododo’s achievements in just 11 months, highlighting the positive impact of his developmental strides. He also lauded Yahaya Bello for his role in mentoring and supporting a capable successor, praying for their continued success and guidance.

Governor Ododo and Yahaya Bello jointly celebrated the importance of peace, unity, and collaboration for the progress of Kogi State. They expressed deep appreciation for the people’s unwavering support and pledged to work tirelessly to improve the state’s fortunes.

The reception was attended by top government officials and admirers, serving as a testament to the enduring legacy of leadership in Kogi State. The event underscored the harmony between the two leaders and their shared vision for the state’s advancement.
