The Wife of the Kogi State Governor, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, has congratulated Christians across the state on the occasion of Christmas, calling on them to uphold the values of compassion, sacrifice, and kindness which define the season.
In a heartfelt Christmas message, Mrs. Ododo appreciated Christians for their steadfastness throughout the year and encouraged all citizens to embrace love and generosity, especially towards the less privileged in society.
She urged Christians to celebrate peacefully and in an orderly manner, stressing the importance of extending kindness to those in need during the yuletide period.
The First Lady also advised parents and guardians to closely monitor their children during and after the celebrations to prevent involvement in any form of wrongdoing.
Reiterating the need for unity and collective responsibility, Mrs. Ododo called on residents to join hands in contributing to the growth and development of Kogi State. She reassured the people that the state government remains committed to prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of all citizens.
Mrs. Ododo further reaffirmed her commitment to protecting and uplifting the welfare of women, girls, youths, and other vulnerable groups across the state, assuring that she would continue to play her role in advancing inclusive development and social support initiatives.
