Assembly Passes 2026 Appropriation Bill Into Law

Barring any last minute change to the Legislative Order Paper, the Kogi State House of Assembly will pass the State’s 2026 Appropriation Bill into law.

Sources exclusively told LugardTV that the legislators have worked round the clock, with many members working even the Yuletide break to ensure timely passage of the Bill.

Recall that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo had, on Tuesday, December this year, presented a N820.49 budget estimate before the Assembly.

The passage would be followed Governor Ododo’s Assent for the Budget to become law in the state.

The Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf had promised during the budget presentation that the Assembly would work assiduously to ensure timely passage.
