A community-based health outreach was held in Upogoro by members of the Ododo Season 2 Grassroots Network to commemorate the birthday of the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The exercise held at the Hajiya Hauwau Bello Medical Centre in Upogoro was led by the chairman of the group and the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Hilary Egwudah Ojomah.
The group engaged newly delivered mothers, expectant women and health workers at the facility, offering moral support and assistance as part of activities commemorating the Governor’s birthday.
According to the organisers, the initiative was designed to reflect the Governor’s emphasis on compassion-driven leadership and direct engagement with the grassroots.
Beneficiaries of the outreach expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and encouraging.
They offered prayers for the Governor and members of the group, while reaffirming their support for the current administration.
The group also praised the dedication of the medical team, led by Dr. Zainab, noting that their commitment to service continues to make positive impact on community’s healthcare delivery system.
Recall that the Hajiya Hauwau Bello Medical Centre, which served as the focal point of the outreach, was constructed by Governor Ododo during his tenure as Auditor-General for Local Governments and named after the mother of former Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.
