Manchester United and Napoli in Talks Over Garnacho Transfer, Osimhen Discount Proposed

Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly reached an agreement with Napoli, signaling his intention to move to the Serie A club in the current transfer window. According to reports from Il Mattino and Sky Sport Italia, the Argentine international has informed Manchester United that he only wants to complete a transfer to the Stadio Maradona this month, intensifying negotiations between the two clubs.

Napoli are keen on securing Garnacho’s signature, but a significant gap remains between the asking price set by Manchester United and the offer made by the Italian club. Manchester United is reportedly holding out for around €80 million, while Napoli has offered €50 million, with no intention to bid more than €60 million for the young winger.

In an attempt to bridge the gap, Napoli have reportedly offered Manchester United a discount on Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian striker currently playing on loan at Galatasaray. Napoli have a €75 million release clause for Osimhen, which would become active next summer, but the club is willing to accept a lower offer from Manchester United if they lower their asking price for Garnacho.

Osimhen had previously rejected a January move to Manchester United, opting to remain with Galatasaray until the end of the season. Nonetheless, Napoli’s willingness to strike a deal for both Garnacho and Osimhen could shape the upcoming transfer window, with further talks expected between the two clubs in the coming days.
