The former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Mathew Kolawole, has commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration for its transformative achievements within its first year in office.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Prince Kolawole described Governor Ododo’s leadership as “top-notch,” highlighting the Governor’s commitment to meeting the aspirations of Kogi residents.
Kolawole specifically praised the administration’s decision to upgrade primary healthcare centers across all 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state, calling it an unprecedented move. He also applauded the Governor for awarding a N6.39 billion contract for the rehabilitation of 106.36km of rural roads, which he noted would boost economic activities in rural communities.
The former Speaker further commended the construction of a multi-billion-naira modern market, describing it as a significant milestone in the state’s infrastructural development.
“Governor Ododo is achieving feats that even Napoleon couldn’t accomplish within a year,” said Kolawole.
He credited Ododo’s leadership as a divine gift and a reflection of continuity from former Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration, which laid the foundation for sustainable development in the state.
Kolawole added, “These bold steps indicate your dedication to the future of our state and generations yet unborn. Your leadership is a beacon of hope for bridging infrastructure deficits, stimulating economic transformation, and fostering sustainable development across both urban and rural areas.”
He urged the Governor to maintain the momentum, assuring him of continued support from stakeholders across the state.
“These efforts reaffirm your commitment to leaving lasting legacies that will stand the test of time, paving the way for unprecedented growth and development,” Kolawole concluded.
