Cristiano Ronaldo finally achieved the moment many expected when he arrived in Saudi Arabia lifting the Saudi Pro League trophy with Al-Nassr for the first time.
The Portuguese superstar joined Al-Nassr in December 2022 following his departure from Manchester United in a transfer that captured worldwide attention.
His arrival was seen as a major statement from Saudi football, with the country aiming to raise its profile on the global sporting scene through one of football’s biggest names.
Despite Ronaldo’s huge impact and remarkable goal record, there had been growing surprise that more than three years passed without him winning a major domestic trophy.
That long wait came to an end on Thursday as Al-Nassr secured the league title with an emphatic 4-1 victory over Damac on the final day of the season.
Ronaldo played a decisive role in the triumph, scoring twice to help his side finish ahead of fierce rivals Al-Hilal and clinch their first league crown since 2019.
The veteran forward recently reached another milestone by scoring his 100th goal in the Saudi Pro League, further underlining his influence since arriving in the Middle East.
Across all competitions, Ronaldo has now scored 129 goals for Al-Nassr, but winning the league title was always viewed as the ultimate objective behind his high-profile move.
