Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has reiterated his administration’s continued support for local security outfits in the fight against insecurity and criminality across the State.
The Governor gave the assurance when he received members of the Kogi Central Lion Hunters Association at the Government House in Lokoja.
According to Governor Ododo, the state government recognizes the crucial role that local security outfits play in complementing formal security agencies and ensuring the safety of communities.
While acknowledging the successes of local security organizations in the fight against criminal elements in the state, Governor Ododo noted that the meeting was aimed at discussing prevailing security challenges and exploring effective strategies to address them,
He emphasized that fostering strong partnerships between the government and local security formations is essential for sustaining peace and stability across all local government areas in Kogi State.
Members of the Kogi Central Lion Hunters Association expressed gratitude to the Governor for the consistent support and vowed to intensify efforts in protecting lives and property in their communities.
